Long Arm Quilting Service

With a passion for art and craftsmanship that spans a lifetime, I discovered the world of quilting in 2012 and quickly transformed my hobby into a thriving business. As an accomplished pattern designer and skilled longarm quilter, my mission is to empower and inspire fellow quilters to unleash their creativity. With a dedication to innovation, I strive to provide exceptional designs and top-quality longarm quilting services that bring your quilting visions to life.

Let me help you complete your quilts on my computerized Grace longarm machine! I offer edge to edge quilting service and will work with you in choosing the design, scale and thread colour to best enhance your work. The services I provide are exclusively digital edge-to-edge designs. This means that the quilting will be uniform across the quilt top and not area-specific.

My goal as a quilter is to make the quilting look custom by the way we carefully select the quilting design to match your quilt top. My personal aesthetic leans toward modern-looking, often geometric and abstract quilting designs. I also favor more dense quilting with a goal of giving your top lovely texture that compliments your patchwork.

Do you know exactly what you want? That's great! All of the commercially available digital pantos are available. If I don't have it in my inventory currently, I'm willing to go halfsies with you (most cost between $12 - $17) so that you can get the panto of your dreams, whatever it might be. Check out the websites I've linked to below if you'd like to browse options or email me at info@gingerberryquilts.ca with a photo of quilting you'd like to replicate and I'll try to find the pantograph for you.

RATES:

Price per square inch
I charge 2.5 cents per square inch for all designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .025 = $120.

Minimum charge
My minimum quilting charge is $50. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $50 minimum.

Batting/Backing
I use and stock my favorite Hobbs Heirloom batting in the 80/20 cotton/poly blend, 100% cotton and in the 100% poly. I have limited quantities of wool batting in stock, please ask for availability. Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price. I have backing available as well.

Batting:
Cotton - $18.00/yard
80/20 - $15.00/yard
Poly - $12.00/yard
Wool - $25.00/yard

Backing:
Flannel - $20.00/yard
Cotton - $20.00/yard
Minky - $30.00/yard

Thread
I stock Glide threads. I don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.

My personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let me know if you have a preference on thread color.

Shipping
To me: I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.

Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via Canada Post Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $100 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.

Payment
After the work is complete, I will invoice you via PayPal. I really do appreciate timely payments as that enables me to mail your project(s) back to you right away.
